  • Laura Robinson concentrates her practice on criminal matters in both state and federal courts. She graduated with honors from the University of Maryland School of Law in 1996. Upon graduation, Mrs. Robinson clerked for the Honorable Dana M. Levitz of the Circuit Court for Baltimore County and then served as an Assistant State's Attorney for Anne Arundel County from 1997 to 2001. Since that time she has defended clients in all matters from minor infractions to homicide in both trial and appellate courts. Mrs. Robinson is a member of the Federal Bar Association and the National Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys and has been elected to the governing boards of the Anne Arundel Bar Association and the Maryland Criminal Defense Lawyers' Association. Mrs. Robinson was appointed by the Governor to serve on the Judicial Nominating Commission from 2003 to 2007 and also served by appointment on the Sexual Offender Advisory Board from 2006 to 2009. In addition, she serves as a panel member for the Attorney Grievance Commission on peer review matters and as a judicial alter ego for the Anne Arundel County bench. Mrs. Robinson serves as a faculty member for the Maryland State Bar Association Professionalism Committee teaching the Professionalism Course required for all new members of the Maryland Bar. She also is an adjunct faculty member for the legal studies department at Anne Arundel Community College teaching criminal procedure and evidence.
